Superficial Chemical Peeling (SCP Therapy)
A surface-level chemical peel for dullness, rough texture and uneven-looking tone.

About the Treatment
SCP stands for Superficial Chemical Peeling. A selected peel solution exfoliates the outermost skin layers. The clinician chooses the solution and strength after assessing your skin.
Who It May Be Suitable For
May suit dullness, rough texture or uneven-looking tone. Tell the clinician about pigmentation concerns, active irritation, pregnancy, allergies and recent retinoid use. An unsuitable peel can cause pigment changes, especially on darker skin.
What to Expect
The skin is cleansed, the solution is applied and aftercare is explained. Temporary stinging, redness or light flaking may occur. Avoid picking and follow the clinician's sun-protection and skincare instructions.
Frequently Asked Questions
SCP means Superficial Chemical Peeling. It exfoliates the outermost layers of skin using a selected peel solution.
Mild redness or flaking can happen after a superficial peel. Some people resume normal activities the same day, but skin may take several days to settle. Your response depends on the peel and your skin, so follow the aftercare plan you are given.
Do not pick or scrub flaking skin. Use a gentle cleanser, moisturiser and sun protection as directed, and pause retinoids or other exfoliants until your clinician advises you to restart. Contact the clinic if you have significant swelling, blistering or persistent burning.
A superficial peel can be considered for a range of skin tones, but darker skin can be more prone to post-inflammatory pigment changes if the peel is too strong or aftercare is missed. A careful skin assessment, suitable formulation and sun protection are important.
